Searches the open MusicBrainz encyclopedia for each artist name and returns one rich item per artist, built entirely from the official musicbrainz.org/ws/2 JSON web service (no key required):

MusicBrainz ID (MBID), exact name, sort name, type (person / group), gender
country, area, begin area, life span (founded / born, ended / dissolved)
genre tags with vote counts, aliases, community rating
official links (homepage, Wikidata, Discogs, streaming, social profiles)
discography: up to maxReleasesPerArtist release groups with title, type (album / single / EP / live / compilation) and first release date, plus the artist's total release-group count

The scraper follows MusicBrainz's fair-use policy (max 1 request/second), so large artist lists take a little longer.
